Properly repaired windscreens are just as strong and reliable as undamaged glass. Repairing it were not compromise the safety and structural integrity of your car in any way. If done properly, professional windshield repair service will strengthen your windscreen and make your ride just as new as the one from a factory.

Your windscreen is an integral component of your car. As a car owner, you have to take good care of it and give it the attention it deserves. Whenever your windscreen is damaged, you need to procure fast and professional windshield repair service to ensure safety and performance of airbags isn't compromised.

  1. A few days ago, I just got a small chip in my windshield. I didn't think it would be too big of a deal, but it sounds to me like it could be a really big deal! I want to be sure that when I am driving that I am safe, so it might be a good idea to get it repaired, and to get it done professionally. Then I won't really have to worry about the dangers of having a damaged windshield while I am driving. http://www.speedyglass.com/locator/washington/spokane.html#

  2. I was always under the impression that I could replace my windshield on my own. You give a lot of good reasons why you should have a professional repair your windshield instead. Your first good point is they use the best quality materials rather than the materials you might buy down at the auto store. I think that is a pretty good reason to have a Pro instal your windshield. http://www.andysautoglassmt.com/about

  3. Recently I've been noticing that my windscreen has quite a few chips in it. I think that it would be a good idea for me to get it repaired so that I don't experience any issues with it. I wasn't really worried about it because I didn't think that it would be that big of a deal. However, after reading about this, it sounds like any damage to a windscreen can possibly be very dangerous. http://www.instantwindscreens.com.au/autoglass/replacements/

  4. I had no idea that windshields were something that should be taken care of by a professional company. That definitely is something that sounds like insurance companies are just trying to make sure that your car is taken care of appropriately. I would be curious as to whether the extent of damage make a difference in price when it comes to replacing these windshields. http://www.ramglass.com/Glass/HomeOwners

  5. Sometimes I wonder if my husband realizes just how important his windshield is with how many cracks and chips he somehow manages to accrue weekly. When it comes to having it repaired, I never treat it lightly and make sure it is properly fiixed. I would hate to think about what could happen if something were to go wrong with his windshield while he was on his way to or from work on the highway. http://www.hometownglass.ca/en/products.html

  6. The point this article makes that windshields are a structural part of the car is something that most people don't really pay attention to. There are plenty of drivers that go around with major cracks in their windshields but don't do anything about it. They don't understand that a cracked windshield is a hole in the safety net that your vehicle provides in the events of an accident. If someone has the financial means to fix their windshield, there is no reason why they shouldn't do it. http://www.speedyglass.com/locator/washington/spokane.html#

  7. I guess you have a really good point there. I've been thinking about getting a DIY repair kit for a while, but I guess it would be better for my safety to get my windshield repaired professionally. I'm not sure I can afford that though. Maybe with my next paycheck I'll be able to work something out.

  8. You are absolutely right that a windshield is not just a piece of glass! It protects you from things flying at your car as well as wind that would be whistling through if it wasn't there. It's important that your windshield is working at its top performance to keep you safe. http://www.nofinest.com/#!windshield-service/coc4

  9. I am in dire need of having my windshield replaced. A few days ago, I was driving home from a long day at work, and I hit a deer. Thankfully, it ran off perfectly fine, but I cannot say the same for my car. My windshield now looks much like yours. Before I am able to drive it again, I will have to have it replaced.

  10. I had no idea that an airbag could push a windshield out during a crash! That's a pretty scary thought. I love what you said about windshield replacement preventing further damage. Quite honestly, when the windshield is damaged, the safety of the car as a whole is jeopardized. I'm actually looking to get mine replaced for that very reason. Hopefully I can find a good replacement service soon! http://www.speedyglass.com/locator/idaho/idahofalls.html#

  11. I agree that your windshield is a very integral component of your car, and needs to be cared for. My windshield has a couple of small chips in it from driving on the freeway the other day. I plan on getting the repairs done in the next day or two before it has a chance to spread into a large crack. Leaving them alone just increases the risk of the entire thing cracking or shattering.

  12. Thank you for pointing out that passenger side airbags usually bounce off the windshield before protecting the passenger. I think that this illustrates the point that having a windshield that is free of cracks is essential to safety.

  13. If you have a small crack or chip on your windshield, do not put it off, have it repaired as soon as possible as this may become worse with weather changes; it has the potential to expand even further in the winter if not treated in a timely manner. Most insurance companies cover rock chip repair services for free, so you have no excuse putting it off.

  15. I agree that it is important to have your windshield immediately repaired, or replaced after it has sustained damage. Like you said, the windshield is an integral component carefully engineered for visibility and strength. Neglecting to repair it compromises its structural integrity.

  16. So the windshield gives structural integrity to your vehicle. That makes the windows a lot more important to me. Besides, if you repair damage quickly, it can be less expensive in the long run. I much prefer that anyway. http://boydkelowna.com

  17. In the past, I have always found it important to hire a professional to fix anything you really don't know how to do. Especially with replacing windows. There was a crazy storm not too long ago, and during that storm, something came and smashed my front windshield. I was able to hire someone to come and fix it for me right away. http://www.a1glassmasters.com/aboutus.html

  18. This was a great post about why damaged windshields should get professional repairs. My windshield was recently cracked in a hail storm. I was thinking or trying to repair the cracks myself. After reading this I think I will take it into a shop. Effective, lasting results is good enough reason for me!

  19. Just like you point out in the title it is very important to get your windshield repaired right. It is the thing that protects you from everything outside your car. I like how you say later on in the article that properly repaired glass is just as strong as the glass was before it was damaged. Thanks for the great post. http://www.quickstop.net.au

  20. The windshield is designed with several layers. Unlike conventional glass that shatters and crumbles when impacted, a cars windshield is designed with an inner layer that holds majority of the pieces in place even after it is heavily damaged. This is to ensure shards do not fly around and further injure the occupants of the vehicle. If your windshield is sporting a crack or a chip, this basically weakens the integrity of its ability to do that. Do not procrastinate windshield repair, it is important.

  21. Wow, I didn't think that repaired glass could be as strong as original, undamaged glass! That's great to hear. I do think you're right in saying that you can't ignore small damage. My friend had a small ding in her auto glass, and because she didn't get it serviced, is soon grew into a large crack with a much more costly repair. I think she learned her lesson!

  22. I've never had a crack in my car's windshield before, but some of my friends have. Like you say in the article they thought it was going to cost a ton of money to have repaired. I'll have to tell them that having a working windshield on their car is very important for their safety as well as others on the road. Hopefully that will help them feel a bit better spending the money to get it fixed. http://www.speedyglass.com/locator/washington/spokane.html#

  26. Believe it or not, the windshield of a car is one of the most exposed parts of your vehicle. If you clock a lot of miles on the free way, and you live in one of those states considered as having severe weather, chances are, you have had a pebble launched into your windshield more than once. usually, it will leave a small chip that can be filled in to prevent damage expansion, but very often, the impact will cause an irreparable crack across the windshield. Fortunately, the windshield can be replace for a reasonable amount of money if you go to the right place. Just make sure the company doing it replaces it with the right type that is approved by your car manufacturer, the windshield of course contributes to your safety, and safe operation of your vehicle.

  28. Let my experience be a lesson on why professional windshield repair is important. The windshield on your vehicle is insulated by a rubber gasket that runs around the edges of the opening on your car. this serves as a seal against the outside environment and prevents water from gathering on certain spots around the windshield. If this is not properly sealed, you will start sealing rust lines around the rubber gasket which is never good to see on metal. Make sure you go to a good windshield repair shop to ensure a good job is done.
